A woman’s musculoskeletal system is impressive. It’s the structure and strength that allows you to move comfortably throughout your day–whether that’s participating in your favorite physical activities, working around the house, playing with children or your body changing and adapting as you go through life.
This complex system includes bones, muscles, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joints and other connective tissues, and it calls for specialized and holistic care that’s tailored to women. The multidisciplinary Women’s Musculoskeletal Health Program brings together specialists from different areas, including sports medicine and spine, to address the unique needs women have when it comes to the interconnected system that keeps them moving. At the Emory Healthcare Women’s Multidisciplinary Musculoskeletal Program, we collaborate with the providers that have in-depth knowledge of specific areas and bring that expertise to one place to help improve your health and well-being.
